Week 1: Jordan and Hedda
The first week of this reality show has been interesting. We are both exploring how to use social media in ways we haven’t before. Even though Hedda is married to her Instagram account, none of us are usually this personal on social media. It doesn’t say that we’re in a relationship on Facebook, even though we’ve been together for almost a year now. It is definitely new to us to post photos and tweets about everything that happens, and throughout this week we learned that it’s not as easy as it sounds. We think we have learned a lot during this week, and we believe that in the coming weeks we will become more and more comfortable with sharing more, and also get better at posting more frequently.
For those who have not yet gotten to know us a little through our introduction video and our Instagram and Twitter accounts, our names are Jordan and Hedda, and we live in Salt Lake City, Utah. Hedda is from Norway, and we met each other in Japan, where we were both studying. Yes, we sometimes speak Japanese to each other. We met in class in the spring of 2015, and we became a couple in the end of June the same year. After that we lived in Japan together for half a year, we went to Norway together so Jordan could learn about Norwegian culture, and in the end we decided to spend some time in Utah. We are an international couple, and sometimes culture differences surprise us. We moved in together almost immediately after we became a couple, which lead us to get to know a lot about each other in a very short time.
Jordan is an entrepreneur, and a lot of our time goes into his projects. Right now he is focusing on his game company that he owns with his friend, and Hedda helps him out sometimes. We are both creative people, and even though Hedda wants to keep studying international relations, Jordan secretly wants her to be an artist.
