We decided to ask Cupid.com users what they think are the most important qualities in their partner. What’s more, we asked them to tell us the qualities without which a relationship would be impossible. So, what is equally important for men and women? And what is extremely important for one gender group, but of little importance to the other? You can view the answers below:
Let’s note that while honesty is an unconditional winner, respect is rather disputable. It seems to be pretty important for men, but women put it behind intelligence, hygiene and confidence (which didn’t even make it to the top 7!). And while chemistry is of key importance for 6% of women, men didn’t mention it at all. Sex and intimacy were mentioned even less often. Among other things mentioned by men that didn’t reach the top were kindness, sensitivity, openness, good looks, and selflessness (given in descending priority order). Women also named understanding, politeness and strength as qualities that they’d like their partners to have.
